The trip to move the Thunder Gull was postponed. No updated plan yet.
Note that Sun-n-Fun is coming up on the 5th. Larry will be involved with the trams and busses to get people around the event.
July Doug plans to go to Oshkosh. Larry will be out there teaching classes again.
Ron will be speaking at Oshkosh this year about acft electrical systems.
Aviation as a business and dealing with the IRS. There is some guidance now that distinguishes the difference between a business and a hobby. Is it run like a business? Do you know what you're doing? -refer to handout.
Went out to look at and discuss Ron's airplane. History of the Lancair. Didn't know Cessna had bought the company. They're testing BRS on the aircraft now with their turbo prop offering.
Discussed the hydraulic accumulator connected with the landing gear and flaps. He's considering adding an oil accumulator to the engine so the engine never starts without oil pressure.
Gear are actuated through a rack and pinion connected to a hydraulic system.
Pressurization provided via turbo blow-off through an intercooler.
The airplane wants to fly faster than 100kts, stall is around 80kts.
